  Halloween Thanksgiving pumpkin pie recipe:

Ingredients:

1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups pumpkin puree

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup evaporated milk

Whipped cream (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. Prepare the Pie Crust: If using a store-bought pie crust, take it out of the package and let it come to room temperature. If making your own crust, roll out the dough on a floured surface and gently place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges of the crust for a decorative touch.

3. Mix Pumpkin Filling: In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, and salt. Mix these ingredients until they are well incorporated.

4. Beat the Eggs: In a separate bowl, beat the two large eggs until they are well mixed. Then, add the beaten eggs to the bowl with the pumpkin mixture.

5. Add Evaporated Milk: Gradually pour in the cup of evaporated milk while stirring the pumpkin mixture. Continue to mix until all the ingredients are fully combined and the filling is smooth.

6. Fill the Pie Crust: Carefully pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.

7. Bake at High Temperature: Place the pie in the preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for the first 15 minutes. This initial high temperature helps to set the crust.

8. Reduce Oven Temperature: After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). This lower temperature will allow the pie to bake more gently and evenly.

9. Bake Until Set: Continue baking the pie for an additional 40-50 minutes. To check if the pie is done, insert a toothpick or knife into the center. If it comes out clean, without any raw filling sticking to it, the pie is ready.

10. Cooling: Once the pie is baked, carefully remove it from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool. Allow the pie to cool completely before serving.

11. Chilling: For best results, you can refrigerate the pie for a few hours or overnight. Chilling helps the flavors meld and the filling to set further.

12. Serve: Slice the pumpkin pie into pieces and serve each slice with a dollop of whipped cream on top.

Feel free to get creative with decorations or even experiment with a different type of crust. Enjoy your delicious homemade Halloween pumpkin pie!

Remember that cooking times may vary slightly depending on your oven, so keep an eye on the pie as it bakes to ensure it turns out perfectly.
